High in the Himalayan Mountains, Grey Wolves, Himalayan Tahrs, Leopards, Musk Deer, Pangolins, Red Pandas, and Wild Yaks are threatened due to loss of habitat and poaching, but Himalayan Bio Trade is working to actively protect these species.  

Himalayan Bio Trade Private Limited (HBTL) is a consortium of community based forest products enterprises in Nepal. The communities have gained tenure over forest habitat and work to conserve and improve the ecosystem’s unique biodiversity and protect the wildlife.
