Ibis Rice™

The Northern Plains of Cambodia are home to the greatest aggregation of large mammals and water birds beyond the savannas of Africa. The Giant Ibis is Cambodia’s National Bird and one of 50 endangered species in the Northern Plains.
Ibis Rice™ comes from communities that protect and monitor the Giant Ibis and other species. Through improved farming practices and access to higher value markets, Ibis Rice farmers are able to conserve natural habitats and earn a better living.
By supplying Ibis Rice™ to restaurants and hotels near Cambodia’s famed Ankor Wat temple, villagers are able to benefit from tourism and conserve the environment of Tonle Sap, the largest freshwater floodplain lake in the world.
